Thomas Ludden, PhD

 

Tom Ludden is a Research Scientist with DA2. He received his undergrad degree from Virgina Tech University and both his MS & PhD in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

 

Dr. Ludden's research interests include Spatial Modeling, Disease Surveillance, and Predictive Analytics. He is currently working on the PCORI (Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute) funded asthma grant that is looking at ways to disseminate sahred decision making (SDM) across North Carolina. Dr. Ludden along with Dr. Yhenneko Taylor lead the data management and analysis on this study. He is also leading the design of an implicit association test that will be used as a part of a diabetes grant submission looking at patient and provider bias. Dr. Ludden is also looking forward to having an ArcGIS server up and running by the end of this year.

 

Tom enjoys spending time outside and running on the greenways in Charlotte and eating at Taco Mac.
