Tami Alkhazraji, MSPH
Thamara (Tami) Alkhazraji is a research coordinator in DA2. Tami received her BS in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and her MS in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She joined Carolinas HealthCare System in November of 2010. Ms. Alkhazraji is working on the AHRQ Asthma Comparative Effectiveness study as well as the PCORI (Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute) study looking at ways to disseminate shared decision making (SDM) across NC.
Her research interests include infectious and reproductive epidemiology, heart disease in women, and racial and ethnic disparities in access to and quality of health care.
Tami's favorite thing to do in Charlotte is hike and she loves to eat at Copper Restaurant and Pio Pio. She is a native Spanish speaker, loves to paint and salsa dance and is expecting her first child in August of this year!
