Lauren Mowrer, BA
Lauren Mowrer is a research analyst at DA2. Lauren recieved her B.A. in Spanish language and culture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Before coming on board at DA2, Lauren worked with Family Medicine research working with Latino immigrants investigating their barriers to accessing care. Lauren now leads the qualitative research work for DA2. Organizing, conducting and promoting the use of qualitative research across all departaments at Carolinas HealthCare System. She currently leads a monthly qualiative journal club that brings together researchers, nurses, and physicians once a month to discuss leading qualitative research. She is currently working on a PCORI (Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute) funded study that is disseminating shared decision making (SDM) around asthma across NC. Lauren is leading the training for future focus group moderators in this study.
Ms. Mowrer continues to have interest in new qualitative research tools and finding ways to connect research to the real world through social media. She also has much interest in access to healthcare issues and the ACA as she works closely with MedLink, a collaborative of community clinics in the Charlotte area.
Lauren loves to run, ride her bike and drink coffee. Her favorite restaurant in Charlotte is Soul Gastrolounge.
